First time at this specific location, second time eating at Dave's. Dave's is phenomenal. Seriously incomparable. They have the best hot chicken around, hands down. The texture can't be beat. The flavor is marinated down into every pore of chicken flesh. No one else does it quite like Dave's does. This time, I ordered the number 4, which is one tender with one side. There was no extra charge to sub mac for fries. The mac was pretty good too, in my opinion. Kinda average, but good. I love the kale slaw on the burger, even though I hate kale. Love all the extra pickles, too. The bun isn't really necessary, since the chicken is so good on its own, but it's a decent little brioche bun. The wait was very long, especially for a drive through, but when the food is this good, I don't care.
The chicken sliders here are great and so are the fries. Staff were also very energetic and welcoming. The place was also very clean and they had cool music playing. Will definitely be returning for more!
I come here every time I visit my grandparents. Dave's has become quite the "go-to" for us all. I genuinely love the food and the people I've met working there. I live out of state and can only come every so often, and I always look forward to pulling up, placing my order, and enjoying some delish food with my family. To some it may seem small or insignificant, but my grandparents are my world and even though it may seem silly, memories have been made enjoying some darn good chicken sandwiches. Food came cooked, fries were not fresh like they usually are though! I would have usually asked for more, but I'd already left. 3.5 stars, pending return and quality then! We finally tried Dave's and we both got the #2. One of us got extra hot and reaper (a signature is needed for the reaper). The other got medium and hot. Out of all of the 4 flavors we tried the reaper was definitely the hottest. I have a high spice tolerance but I would choose the extra hot it's the perfect spice level without the spiciness being to overbearing which I felt that with the reaper. The chicken overall is juicy and crunchy with their nice crunchy pickles. The drive through service was fast and efficient, we received our food hot and freshly fried, the fries were also good not salty at all which we really enjoyed. We also received a Holidaves scratcher (fun for the holidays). Thanks Dave and staff!
Clean restaurant, extremely clean bathroom, friendly service, fast, hot, delicious food. Nothing earth shattering on flavors, but the flavor was spot on with what I expected and I liked the varying spice levels. Do yourself a favor and try it out, if you're like me you'll definitely want to come back again.
We have been wanting to try Dave's Hot Chicken. It reminds me of Raising Cane's, but with seven levels of heat level from "No Spice" to "Reaper." If you can tolerate heat, give this place a try. We tried the lite mild chicken sliders, and it was the perfect amount of heat for me. The chicken is juicy, and the slaw and pickles add extra flavoring. I like it! The crinkle cut fries were average. Nothing special. I was surprised that they have cauliflower tender bites. They were very good. It's a great vegetarian option. I had ordered in advance online. The pick-up was easy and quick. It was ready in 20 minutes as promised. Solid fast food hot chicken spot!
Hungry late at night, I drove past this place and decided to drop in. I appreciate that some places stay open a bit longer than others since I'm often working late at night. It also happens that I just returned from Nashville... so I still had Nashville hot chicken on my mind. I ducked in pretty close to closing time (15 mins before?). I *try* not to be "that guy" who comes in at the last minute... but I am also of the opinion that the hours on the door should be the hours they're actually serving... and they did well in that respect here. I've been turned away over 30 minutes before the posted closing time at other places and that's just not cool at all. Again, NOT a problem here for me and I was thankful... showing my thanks by ordering to go and eating in the car. That being said, I can't really say much about the inside of the dining room or anything. I just needed a snack, really, so made a pretty simple order - some tenders and fries. The tenders were very decent... done just right and tasty. It was pretty darn close to what I had in Nashville. Tender on the inside, good coating, not greasy or anything... it hit the spot for my needs. I wouldn't hesitate to drop by again some time.
